Ignite Media’s KOB crowned Best Radio and TV Producer at FOGYA 2023

 

Kofi Otuo Bekoe, a broadcast journalist and producer with Ignite Media Group, has been named the Best Radio and Television Producer of the Year 2023 at the second edition of the Face of Ghana Youths Awards (FOGYA).

The award ceremony, which took place in Accra on Saturday, recognized the achievements and contributions of young Ghanaian professionals and entrepreneurs in various fields.

Bekoe, who is popularly known as KOB in the media circles, beat four other nominees in his category to clinch the coveted prize. He received a plaque and other souvenirs from the organizers as a token of appreciation.

Speaking to the media after the event, Bekoe expressed his gratitude to the organizers for honouring his work and his passion for journalism. He said the award was a reflection of his hard work, continuous learning, consistency and teamwork with his colleagues at Ignite Media Group.

“As a young devout Christian, I always seek the face of God in everything I do and always want to stick to professionalism in my field of work,” he said.

Bekoe also shared his aspirations for the future, saying he wanted to excel in his career and make a positive impact on the lives of the people he interacts with. He added that the award would motivate him to bring out the best in him as he continues to serve society through ethical journalism.

He urged his fellow youths to take up new challenges and be ready to serve wherever they find themselves. He also advised them to be diligent, hardworking and persistent in pursuing their goals.

Bekoe is a graduate of the University of Media Art and Communications UniMAC, formerly GIJ, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies. He has a decade of experience in the media industry, having worked with TOP Radio, MGTV, Mega Group of Communications, and now Ignite Media Group, which owns Original TV, Original FM, and Metro TV.

He is also a voice actor who has featured in some soap operas, documentaries and commercials. He has covered high-profile events in Ghana and abroad, including some United Nations programmes
